Read Lamentations 3:22-23

I recently read a statistic that almost half of the people that make New Year’s resolutions don’t follow through with them.  The intent is there but the faithfulness is not.  I am glad that I serve a God who is faithful.  The word faithful is used to describe something that is worthy of belief or confidence.   W.E. Vine describes God’s faithfulness with the old testament word emunah which means firmness, security, steadiness.  God’s faithfulness means that there is firmness, stability, steadiness and certainty in Him.  God is worthy of our love and our confidence and He assures us that He will certainly fulfill His promises.  God does not change and His love for us does not change. Rejoice in these verses:  Malachi 3:6 I the Lord do not change. Lamentations 3:22-23 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.  His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning.  Great is Thy faithfulness.

Pray

Dear Lord,
Thank You for Your faithfulness in my life.  Thank You that Your promises are true and that Your love for me never changes.  Please continue to reveal Your perfect will for my life and help me to commit to a life of faithfulness to You.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
