Vacation Bible School 2019
June 10-14 | 9 a.m. to Noon
This summer kids will focus in on some amazing, real-life encounters with Jesus. Each encounter is like a snapshot—a specific moment in time captured on the pages of Scripture. Through VBS, kids will discover that each snapshot of Jesus is an opportunity to respond to the gospel. And when put together, these isolated encounters clearly reveal the most amazing truth of all—Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believing we can have life in His name. Are you ready for an up close and personal encounter with Jesus? The adventure of a lifetime awaits!
VBS is designed for children 4 yrs old (by June 9) through completed 5th grade. For more detailed information, contact Sherry Clark at email@example.com or call 901.260.5708.

If the morning VBS experience doesn’t fit within your schedule, we’re offering an evening version just for you! Your child will experience the same lessons, activities and FUN in a slightly condensed time period. VBS express meats on the same dates as morning VBS from 6-8 p.m.

About the Movie:
In RUN THE RACE, two desperate brothers sacrifice today for a better tomorrow.
Reeling from his mother’s death and his father’s abandonment, Zach, an All-State athlete, finds glory on the football field, working to earn a college scholarship and the brothers’ ticket out of town.
When a devastating injury puts Zach—and his dreams—on the sidelines, David laces up his track cleats to salvage their future and point Zach toward hope.
Available on DVD and Digital now, RUN THE RACE shows what’s possible when you run to—instead of from—the overwhelming love of God.

Imagine learning Scripture and being able to make it real in your life. Imagine joining with hundreds of women reaching out and up to the God who loves you and singing your heart out or just sitting in quietness before Him.
Imagine that it doesn’t matter who you are, where you’ve been, how much you weigh, what you’re wearing, where you worship or what you’ve done. Imagine that you experience love, hope, and acceptance in a grace-filled zone.
If you can imagine that all that is possible, then you can imagine what a Fresh Grounded Faith Conference feels like!
November 2-3 | The Grove at Red Oaks
Fall Retreat will be filled with restful and restorative moments of growth within the body of Christ through worship, fellowship, and the Word. Joining us will be our speakers, Luke and Caroline Saunders, and the band, Sow and Tether. This is a weekend your student will not want to miss!
Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
Philippians 1:27 (NASB)
As our church enters a season of renewed faith and Spirit, we feel a strong pull toward strengthening the bonds of the Church. The Fall Retreat will be an additional opportunity for students to experience revival through the building of unity within the Student Ministry. Students are beginning to see the majesty of a deeply threaded gospel message lived out by Jesus. Our hope is that the students will begin to live out this beautiful true story by imitating the Savior in their own faith journey. The beauty of the Christian walk is that the Father has given us a community of believers to renew our strength by encouraging and to walking alongside us.
On October 31st, we are hitting the streets to light up the night! The GBC family will engage people in our neighborhoods and foster relationships in order to share the love and light of Jesus Christ. After all, it is the one night of the year when the world comes to your door!
“For you were formerly darkness,
but now you are light in the Lord;
Walk as children of light.”
Will your family light up the night? Will you let your light shine in your neighborhood on October 31st?
