Read Daniel 4
We humans are such fickle beings! We forget so easily. My husband has always said that, after a vacation or extended holiday, he needs to be retrained to do the work he used to do automatically.
Nebuchadnezzar was the same way. He had seen the power of the God of the Hebrews on multiple occasions. He had yet another dream interpreted by Daniel, warning him to set aside his great pride. But, after “a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest,” he forgot the warning. He exulted in what “he” had done.
When we forget Who God is and that we were made in His image, we become like Nebuchadnezzar, like animals, seeking only our own good. There are consequences for our actions, words, decisions, and choices. Purpose in your heart to be like Daniel, honoring God with your life. The consequences for disobedience can be really painful. Just ask Nebuchadnezzar.

One great way to weave worship into our daily lives is to fill it with music that helps focus our hearts on our great God.  Here is a Spotify playlist that has all the songs our worship team has led us through in the last month’s Sunday evening services to get you started. http://bit.ly/GBCPMThisMonth It’s updated weekly, so “follow” it to keep fresh worship music in your life.
