Read 1 John 4:4
“I feel safe when you walk into the room.”
What an odd thing to say! They barely knew each other, had only recently met. You’re probably imagining a woman speaking to a body builder type of a man. No. Two women, the one walking into the room, a tiny, petite little thing. What could account for the “safety” factor?
Could it be that those of a weaker faith recognize the Holy Spirit in us? Do they instinctively know that “he who is in [us] is greater than he who is in the world”? He affords light, guidance, and yes, safety to those who choose to surrender to the lordship of Jesus Christ.
Today, will you choose to walk as children of light? (Ephesians 5:8) You just may provide a “safety net” for a weaker brother or sister.
