Read Colossians 2:6-7
Growing up on the Tennessee River, my gentle godly Mother spoke to my siblings and me often about the importance of being thankful.  She would say, " You can never be thankful enough!" We lost everything we owned when a tornado took our house from us. God allowed the five of us to survive. Now that I am more mature in my relationship with Christ, I know how true that teaching really is. I want to spend my life serving my Lord Jesus Christ out of love and thankfulness for what He has done for me.  And truly, there is no way I can ever repay Him, so I can never be thankful enough.
Early each morning as I awake and take a breath in a new day, I immediately thank God for saving my soul and for giving me His gift of love and grace and mercy--eternal life, salvation, His Holy Spirit.
Each day we can pray for wisdom and strength.  I like to pray Scripture. Ephesians 1:17-18 reads, "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe." I am so thankful for His Word and the privilege of prayer, for family who are Believers, too, for good health, for my church, and most of all, for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
