Read Galatians 1:10
"Good job!" "Thanks!" "Nice work, keep it up!"
It really doesn't take much to convey appreciation. My managers and coworkers are busy people, so receiving an email or text with even a few words acknowledging my effort goes a long way.
No matter where you invest your energies during the day - whether a corporate office, a family business, a clinic, a school, or a home - it's a struggle to balance the "praise of men" with doing it "all in the name of the Lord," (Colossians 3:17). As believers, we are also servants of Christ. We should seek His approval, His blessing, His words of acknowledgement and praise in all aspects of life. But, in the busy-ness of business, it's hard for me to keep an eye on His objectives, His goals, His metrics for success.
And, maybe that's the key to the struggle. I've been trying to keep "an eye" on His calling when Jesus has asked for my undivided devotion - both eyes, not just one. Join me in the pursuit of God's approval as a servant of Christ, with both eyes on the goal!
One great way to weave worship into our daily lives is to fill it with music that helps focus our hearts on our great God. Here is a Spotify playlist that has all the songs our worship team has led us through in the last month’s Sunday evening services to get you started. http://bit.ly/GBCPMThisMonth It’s updated weekly, so “follow” it to keep fresh worship music in your life.
