Read: John 3:17

"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."

What an important message for our world!

There is so much condemnation of those who hold differing views.  Our news - whether national or cable, in print or on-line - is incredibly quick to report, judge, and condemn anyone and any group for just about anything (never mind that they might have supported the very same view two weeks ago).

It's easy to throw up our hands and turn a blind eye to it all. But, we can't:  we have Good News!

Our culture sees Jesus as adversarial and condemning of its lifestyles and its beliefs.  But, He came with compassion and determination (not usually two words we hear in the same sentence) to seek and save the lost.

How are we reflecting the true mission and purpose of His cross?  Do we have such compassion for our neighbors, coworkers, friends and family that we are determined to reach them with His Good News of love, redemption, and salvation? May God's love compel us!

Adoration: God is holy, mighty, gracious, and merciful. Spend time declaring your love for Him and expressing your thoughts of praise and worship.

Confession: Ask God to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

Thanksgiving: Express your thankfulness to God for the blessings He has given you. When we consider that we deserve punishment because of our sinfulness, and instead God gives to us His love and mercy, our only response should be one of thankfulness.

Supplication: Petition God for growth in your compassion and love toward others.  Offer prayers for your loved ones and others who do not know Jesus and for those in need.  Ask God to use you to tell others about Him and show His love. Offer prayers concerning your activities for this day and any special concerns you have.
