Read Romans 8:35-39

What does it take to convince you? Good experiences? Strong emotions, a reassuring "gut feeling"? Tangible evidence?

What about God's Word? Do you rely on the Truth in God's Word to convince you? I say there's nothing more reliable or more trustworthy in all of creation - seen or unseen. But don't take my word for it ... what does the Truth say about itself?

Although Romans 8:36-39 quotes other scripture saying, "we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered,” this truth is immediately followed by reassurance of victory and God's great love for us! The threat of danger, harmful experiences, and "the unknown" can raise questions about God's love for us. But, please, please, please hold on to Jesus! Because, the very next verse proclaims the reassuring Truth that ... "in all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced ... [that nothing] ... in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

We may not recognize or sense God's Love in every situation, but through Christ Jesus, God demonstrated His love for us and it is far greater than we can comprehend. The Bible tells me so!
