Read: Philippians 4:8

Hi-Fidelity.  The words were right there on the front in large script.  As a child staring at the lights on the front of our stereo, I knew that must mean something very special and important.  Listening to music on the hi-fi was part of my every afternoon.  As one who could not be persuaded to nap, my mother cleverly scheduled our daily listening time.  She and I would lie across the bed or sometimes even in the floor and listen to an entire LP on the hi-fi.  I recall her telling me that hi-fidelity meant the stereo gave a faithful and true playback of the music as if we were hearing it performed in our very home.

These memories came flooding back as I listened to Pastor Charles speak.  I was also reminded “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”  Fidelity is one of these things.  My husband is made in the image of God.  My marriage is holy because of God.  My home is secure in His presence.  These are the truths I hold close and upon which I direct my thoughts.  These are the truths I will continue to speak in hi-fidelity giving a faithful playback in my home of the One who is a true and faithful witness.  My trust is not in my husband or even in me, my trust is in Him.  Infidelity is not something considerable when my mind is filled with Christ and the true things which He has given to fill my thoughts.

Adoration: God is holy, mighty, gracious, and merciful. Spend time declaring your love for Him and expressing your thoughts of praise and worship.

Confession: Ask God to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

Thanksgiving: Express your thankfulness to God for the blessings He has given you. When we consider that we deserve punishment because of our sinfulness, and instead God gives to us His love and mercy, our only response should be one of thankfulness.

Supplication: Petition God regarding your family and your ministry.  Ask for help and guidance in sharing your Jesus with others and helping others grow in Him.  Offer prayers concerning your activities for this day and any special concerns you may have.  Intercede on behalf of local, national, and world missions.  Pray the Great Commission would be fulfilled and for any special concerns you may have for missions.
