Read: Psalm 50

Pastor Charles reminded us Sunday that God is not like us. Yes, we were created in His image, but Psalm 50:21 clearly states the truth ... God is NOT like us.

He is who He states He is in Psalm 50:1, "the Mighty One, God, the LORD." With that in mind, we should not - in fact, we cannot - approach Him casually.  Yet, He longs for a personal, intimate relationship with us.

So, how have you responded to this kind of attention? Have you embraced Him? Or, are you skeptical that He could really love you, even notice you? As Pastor Charles shared, and challenged us, let's pray for an insatiable hunger to know our Heavenly Father and be in the presence of our LORD.

I'm encouraged, overwhelmed, and comforted that with each new revelation of who He is, I've only scratched the surface ... there will always be infinitely more to discover and embrace.

Adoration: God is holy, mighty, gracious, and merciful. Spend time declaring your love for Him and expressing your thoughts of praise and worship.

Confession: Ask God to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

Thanksgiving: Express your thankfulness to God for the blessings He has given you. When we consider that we deserve punishment because of our sinfulness, and instead God gives to us His love and mercy, our only response should be one of thankfulness.

Supplication: Petition God for wisdom. Offer prayers for your activities for this day and any special concerns you might have. Intercede for your immediate family and other relatives regarding their spiritual, emotional, and physical needs.
