Read 2 Chronicles 7:12-22
Our country is in trouble. Every time I check the news there are more stories of violence, and crime is creeping into areas once thought safe. Values that go against God’s word have become the norm, and many things that were once thought unacceptable are now commonplace. It’s easy to blame society for the evil that prevails in our cities and towns, and many Christians in America point to anyone and anything else but themselves as to the cause for the decline of Christian values.
But what if we have it all wrong? What if the problem is us?
In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God calls His people, called by His name, into action. In order for the land to be healed and sins forgiven, God’s people had to do four things: humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways. He didn’t say that the prostitute or drug dealer on the street had to do these things, nor did he say that the thief or murderer had to do these things. God didn’t even say that the person living in an alternative lifestyle or practicing a false religion had to do them. Or course, everyone has to accept Jesus as Savior to be able to spend eternity in heaven with Him, but here on earth, it is God’s people who are called to change their ways. He said His own people, already called by His name, were the ones responsible for taking the steps that led to healing.
Which means we need a revival.
Did you know that every great revival in America has started with just a small handful of people?  What if it started at our church? What if it started with us?
Are you ready for revival?

One great way to weave worship into our daily lives is to fill it with music that helps focus our hearts on our great God.  Here is a Spotify playlist that has all the songs our worship team has led us through in the last month’s Sunday evening services to get you started. http://bit.ly/GBCPMThisMonth It’s updated weekly, so “follow” it to keep fresh worship music in your life.
