“For you were formerly darkness,
but now you are light in the Lord;
Walk as children of light.”

Ephesians 5:8

Will your family light up the night?  Will you let your light shine in your neighborhood on October 31st?

Secret Church Simulcast

Friday, April 21 at 5:30 p.m.

Free | Meeting in the Student Center in The Core

Taught by Author and International Mission Board President, David Platt

What is Secret Church?

Secret Church is an intense, 6-hour Bible Study, including a time of prayer for our brothers and sisters across the globe who are facing persecution and for those who still have not heard the Gospel.

The Bible is the foundation for faith among followers of Christ in churches around the world. Yet many such Christians never think to ask why this is the case. After all . . .

·         How did we get this holy book?
·         Who decided what would and wouldn’t be included in it?
·         How do we know it’s true? Are there any errors in it?
·         Is it necessary? Is it sufficient? Is it authoritative for my life?
·         How can I understand it?

Even as Christians ask and answer such pivotal questions, the culture around us asks even more pressing questions: Isn’t the Bible antiquated and outdated? Isn’t it chauvinistic and offensive? Isn’t it downright deceptive and ultimately dangerous?

During this Secret Church, we will explore answers to critical questions about the Bible in order to discern what place it should (or should not) have in the lives of Christians and the implications those answers have for our lives, our families, and our churches in the culture around us.

City-Wide Worship Service

The city of Memphis is known for it's vast array of Churches. Across our city we have all types of churches, big and small, black and white, denominational and non. But how often do we take the time to celebrate that God works through each of these churches in their different ways. Every once in a while we should stop and look across the street at our brothers and sisters in christ who worship the same Jesus that we do.

That's what this worship experience will be all about. Joining together as like-minded churches that come from all over the Memphis metro area. We want to gather our voices and hearts to lift up the name of Jesus as one heart and one voice. We want to celebrate the work that Christ does in and through all of our different congregations. And we want to hear a word from the Lord about how we can work together to spread His love in our communities.

Join us for this very special opportunity to worship together with other church families in our city. We promise it will be a powerful blessing to all who come.
