Centri-Kid Camp 2019

This is an incredibly awesome camp for kids completing 3rd - 5th grade! For summer 2019, the CentriKid Camps theme is “All Access” and the key verse we hope every camper will memorize is John 17:3.

This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and the One You have sent-Jesus Christ.

God wants Himself to be known. He has given you an “all access pass” by revealing things about Himself throughout history as an expression of His love for you. God has revealed that He is the only true God, He’s not hidden, and He wants a relationship with you.

This year's camp will be in Walnut Ridge, AR July 22-26. From “Time Alone With God” in the morning until “Lights Out” at night, your child's day will be filled with solid biblical content woven throughout every element of camp, from interactive Bible studies and fun recreation games to worship, activity tracks, and even hang time! Total camp cost is $325 with a $100 deposit due by February 10. Call Sherry at 260-5708 for more information.

Student Fall Retreat

November 2-3 | The Grove at Red Oaks
Cost: $40

Fall Retreat will be filled with restful and restorative moments of growth within the body of Christ through worship, fellowship, and the Word. Joining us will be our speakers, Luke and Caroline Saunders, and the band, Sow and Tether. This is a weekend your student will not want to miss!

Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
Philippians 1:27 (NASB)

As our church enters a season of renewed faith and Spirit, we feel a strong pull toward strengthening the bonds of the Church. The Fall Retreat will be an additional opportunity for students to experience revival through the building of unity within the Student Ministry. Students are beginning to see the majesty of a deeply threaded gospel message lived out by Jesus. Our hope is that the students will begin to live out this beautiful true story by imitating the Savior in their own faith journey. The beauty of the Christian walk is that the Father has given us a community of believers to renew our strength by encouraging and to walking alongside us.

FREE Movie Night

Join us for a free movie night for the whole family. We will be showing the film "I Can Only Imagine". Admission is FREE and all ages are welcome. We'll serve nachos in a bag as well as other snacks and drinks. Lines open at 5:30p.m., movie begins at 6:00 p.m.

It’s the song that brings ultimate hope to so many … often in the midst of life’s most challenging moments. Amazingly, the song was written in mere minutes by MercyMe lead singer Bart Millard. In reality, those lyrics took a lifetime to craft.

Although he found faith at a young age, life wasn’t easy for Bart. He leaned into an active imagination and his love of music as escapes from a troubled home life. As he grew older, Bart turned to football in hopes of somehow connecting with his abusive father. But a career-ending injury—combined with the vision of a teacher who saw unlimited potential—set Bart on a musical pathway.

Chasing a dream while running from broken relationships with his father and Shannon, his childhood sweetheart, Bart hits the road in an old, decrepit tour bus with his new band MercyMe—named for his grandmother’s favorite expression. With the guidance of a grizzled music-industry insider, the band begins a journey none of them could ever have imagined.

Directed by the Erwin Brothers (October Baby, Moms' Night Out, and Woodlawn), I CAN ONLY IMAGINE stars J. Michael Finley, Madeline Carroll, Trace Adkins, Priscilla Shirer, with Cloris Leachman and Dennis Quaid.

A gripping reminder of the power of forgiveness, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE beautifully illustrates that no one is ever too far from God’s love—or from an eternal home in Heaven.

Focus: Belize - Interest Meeting

Wednesday, May 23 | 6 p.m. | The Parlor

We are holding an interest meeting for those who might have the interest and availability to join us in the mission work in Belize. Please join us for a short presentation and a time for asking questions.

As a church, we believe God has called us to reach the people of Belize. Over the last few years we've seen the Lord place strategic partners in our path that will provide the connection we need to spread the Gospel there. The GBC Advancing Committee, as well as Pastor Charles and our pastoral staff, have embraced this poor country as a target for Gospel ministry that we feel our church is equipped to carry out.

If you have a heart to see people reached for christ and discipled in a place with very little church involvement, we would love for you to consider getting involved. But there are other practical skills needed for our work there as well. Things like construction experience, retail, medical, sports, entertainment, organization. All types of gifts and skill sets will be utilized on our teams.
