Read Jeremiah 29:11

I am the family planner. I do not know exactly how this came about, because most of the time, I am ‘organized chaos’ at best.

I am good at ferreting out the best fares and rates, but I draw the line at making last minute changes to MY travel plans. My family understands that, before I will even start putting together an itinerary, they must be absolutely certain of their availability to travel on the proposed dates, who is going to travel, and how payment is to be made. I am even competent at working to adjust travel plans when events outside MY control occur, so maybe this is why I became the Designated Travel Planner! When these events do occur, my family looks at me with total confidence and heads to the closest lounge or food court.

It is a comfort to know that our Lord is in control in the middle of whatever life may be sending our way, and all we need do is trust Him. Our Lord told Jeremiah: For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” His plans for us are so much better than anything we can imagine. For those of us who love the Lord, this is an awesome gift. For the lost, it is incomprehensible how we can continue to trust Him when trouble comes into our life.

Today, share the gift of eternal salvation and peace with a lost person. Help them to also find comfort in knowing the Lord has great plans for them.
