Read: Proverbs 31:28

My Mama. There are a thousand things I have learned from her. "Her children...call her blessed; her husband...praises her."

Today especially, but everyday, I stop and salute her and let her know how much I appreciate her and that what's she's doing matters. I tell her that she's highly esteemed by our God.

She taught me how to set an elegant table and that your world can never be small if you love to read, because you can be anyone, anywhere, at any period in history if you read. I learned the importance of prayer and fresh cut flowers and how to appreciate poetry. My Mama taught me that age is something to celebrate, not fear. When my daughter was born, she taught me how to rock a newborn to sleep. She always protected me and nurtured me, and she gives me grace still, which is so important, because it reminds me, in a tangible way, how God gives me grace and protects and nurtures me. You know I need that grace today from God who loves me and values me and picks me up every time I fall, with love and tenderness.

Maybe you need that grace, too, today. Ask Him - He's there.

Pray:

Adoration: God is holy, mighty, gracious, and merciful. Spend time declaring your love for Him and expressing your thoughts of praise and worship.

Confession: Ask God to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

Thanksgiving: Express your thankfulness to God for the blessings He has given you. When we consider that we deserve punishment because of our sinfulness, and instead God gives to us His love and mercy, our only response should be one of thankfulness.

Supplication: Petition God for growth in your desire to know and please Him.  Ask Him to give you a greater love and commitment to Him.  Ask Him for the grace to glorify Him in your life.  Intercede on behalf of your local church, other churches, evangelism and discipleship ministries and other concerns you may have.  Offer prayers for your activities for this day and any special concerns you might have.
