Read Luke 24:13-35

When it comes to prophecy, I'm not much different than the disciples sorrowfully walking down the road, analyzing all that had just happened. They had "hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel." Can't you hear the disappointment, despair, and hopelessness in their words?

When the flood of horrible events took place - Jesus' unfair trial, gruesome death, and cold burial - would I have been expecting Jesus to conquer death like He said He would? Or would I be lost in the confusion and analysis with fellow believers?

Praise God that His prophecies are fulfilled, and that Jesus appeared to these believers and walked alongside them ... and continues to walk alongside us through scripture and the Holy Spirit! Pray with me that His Word - and revelation of who He is - would burn in our hearts and that our faith would be strengthened!
