Read Philippians 2:3-7
Jesus Christ is Lord of all! He is my Savior and Lord and King, my hope, my help, my best friend. My identity is in Him. Lord, help me daily aline my life with your Lordship. I'm so thankful He loves me enough to correct me.
After a weekend of visiting out of state with family, in-laws, and friends that I thought went well, the Lord showed me where I had shown favoritism, felt rivalry, and often pointed out the shortcomings of others. I had to confess and repent these things by crying, “Lord, forgive me, cleanse me, and remove my critical thinking. Lord, give me a heart full of love and compassion for others.” Not only did He forgive me and cleanse me, He said, “It's gone, child.” He cheered me on by saying, “You're doing better, child, every day".
We need daily to humble ourselves, confess, turn from our mistakes, and walk in obedience to aline ourselves with His Lordship. Teach me, Lord, more of what pleases You. Thank You, Lord, for the privilege of knowing and loving You and showing Your love to others. And thank You for Your unconditional, everlasting love for me and all believers.
When we work together, caring for the problems of others as if they were our problems, we demonstrate Christ's example of putting others first, and we experience loving unity. We are not to be so concerned about meeting our own needs that we strain relationships in God's family.
One great way to weave worship into our daily lives is to fill it with music that helps focus our hearts on our great God. Here is a Spotify playlist that has all the songs our worship team has led us through in the last month’s Sunday evening services to get you started. http://bit.ly/GBCPMThisMonth It’s updated weekly, so “follow” it to keep fresh worship music in your life.
