Read Genesis 12:1-3

“Go where I will show you…”
Last Saturday at the Huntsville Space Center, I was able to share with my family my memories of the birth of the space program when I was a child as we toured the museum. I listened to their shrieks of adventure on the Free Fall as they were propelled high into the air in mere seconds. I heard their laughter as they left the G Force ride sharing the effects it had on each one. They climbed a rock wall and rode in a simulator. My joy was watching them experiencing the trip. My grandson researched the park before going and knew exactly what he wanted to do first. I checked the GPS because I wanted to know exactly where we were going.

Genesis 12:1 Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you…

No chance to plan. No way to check the GPS. No Wikipedia to give a heads up about what he would see. Just a promise from the Creator of the universe.

Our life is a journey. Just IMAGINE a trip planned by God! That is what He offers.

Going with God required faith in action. It requires us to believe that He is a good, good, Father and even when the adventure is sometimes scary and uncertain, He has a plan. It is a perfect plan. And I don’t have to understand it to join in. I simply have to have faith He is going to do what He says He will do.
