Read Matthew 4:1-11

Life has been hard lately, just plain hard. I’ve spent way too much time angry and frustrated. This comes after a lifetime of walking with Him, of knowing that He is in complete control and, if He wanted it to be different, it would be. After hours spent in the Throne Room, I’d like to say I now have a to-do list, straight from His hand. But, no.

What I do have is His promise that He has chosen me, will help me, and will uphold me with His righteous right hand. I also have the certainty that I have a Lord and Savior who has been tempted in every way, just as I have been, yet without sin. I’ll take that over a to-do list any day!

Just as Jesus had to go to the wilderness and accept His Father’s plan for His earthly life, I, too, will have to go through “wilderness” times. I, too, will need to accept my Father’s plan and His timing. My spirit is willing, but my flesh is often weak. “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”  (Psalm 73:26) He will up hold me with His righteous right hand! (Isaiah 41:10) Hallelujah! What a Savior!

One great way to weave worship into our daily lives is to fill it with music that helps focus our hearts on our great God.  Here is a Spotify playlist that has all the songs our worship team has led us through in the last month’s Sunday evening services to get you started. http://bit.ly/GBCPMThisMonth It’s updated weekly, so “follow” it to keep fresh worship music in your life.
