Read Matthew 10:42

God calls each of us.  He has called me to mission work - to be a missionary. What do you think our primary purpose is as disciples and followers of Jesus Christ?  Our church  is teaching a discipleship class on Sunday evenings, where we are discipled in order that we may be able to disciple others. When I asked God who He would have me disciple He  answered, "Your granddaughter."  I am going to enjoy building a closer relationship with her based on trust and love of Jesus Christ.  I don't feel prepared to disciple my granddaughter, but I’m not going to let my feelings control me. I’ll enjoy learning as we go, depending on God's Holy Spirit.  He promised us that He will not ask us to do anything He will not equip and enable us to do. (Hebrews 13:21)

I’m not perfect, but I’m willing to do this with total dependence on God, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit to love and teach through me.  I'm willing to be transparent and vulnerable, to share my love and testimony for Jesus Christ with her and to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, asking each day for strength, wisdom and God's presence to be with me, go before me, and be my hindguard, that I may pass a legacy of faith and dependence on God to the next generation.
