Read Hebrews 10:24-25

My family gathers fairly frequently - to celebrate birthdays, special holidays, just because. The most recent gathering was Easter Sunday, for lunch and an egg hunt. Food is almost always a prominent feature of our gatherings, but it’s never the reason we meet. We all have enough resources to provide regular meals. Everyone is busy with work and school. These family gatherings give us a chance to catch up with each other. Bottom line - we meet because we love each other and enjoy being together.

Christians are encouraged to do the same. When we meet together, we get to know each other better. We learn strengths and weaknesses. We discover how to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ. We learn how to admonish in love, gentleness, and humility. A natural side effect? We come to love each other, more and more.

We often hear the term “church family.” These are not just words; they are truth. We are brothers and sisters, children of the same Father, blood relatives because of the blood of Christ. Bottom line - we gather to worship because we love our Father and our brothers and sisters. We love being together. It’s good practice for Heaven.

One great way to weave worship into our daily lives is to fill it with music that helps focus our hearts on our great God.  Here is a Spotify playlist that has all the songs our worship team has led us through in the last month’s Sunday evening services to get you started. http://bit.ly/GBCPMThisMonth It’s updated weekly, so “follow” it to keep fresh worship music in your life.
