Read Revelation 1:5

Battered, beaten and tortured Jesus’ precious body hung on the cross six hours until he died. At noon, God showed up, darkening the sun and pronouncing judgment on the sins of everyone in the world; yours and mine. We cannot fathom the psychological and physical agony our sinless Savior suffered in our place. On the third day, God kept His promise and in His mighty power gloriously raised Jesus out of the cold dark grave into life without end.

I am so thankful that when He raised Jesus from the grave, He carried our sins away as far as the east is from the west. “By His power God raised the Lord from the dead and He will raise us also.” 1 Corinthians 6:14. This is a tremendous promise! I can take comfort in the fact that God’s plan is always bigger and better than mine and that He always keeps His promises!

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is a work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20. I love the promise of Philippians 3:20 so much I taped it to the dashboard of my car!  We must allow His Spirit to work within us. He is intent on extracting from us that which our enemy would love to leverage against us.

I love the message of the song, “Because He Lives.” It warms my heart and strengthens my commitment to Christ. He lives! He lives! He lives within my heart! All praise and honor to Him who saved us!
